During five half-days (9:00-12:00 each day) students will build confidence in both sewing on a machine and hand-stitching by completing three projects; a hand-sewn felt stuffie, a patchwork pillow, and a fun little bag. Students will practice measuring, cutting, appliques, designing projects, and following tutorial instructions in addition to working on the machine. This camp is open to anyone that has had some experience with a sewing machine and has the manual dexterity to complete hand stitching with a regular-sized needle. (I expect that middle school students will thrive in this camp, but I don’t want to limit younger kids that are ready for the experience) Registration fee includes materials, a camp t-shirt, and a daily snack.
